The Iranian and Syrian Foreign Ministers discussed the Israeli strikes on the Iranian consulate in Damascus attack in a telephone conversation on Monday evening.

The Iranian consulate building near the Iranian Embassy in the Syrian capital of Damascus came under an Israeli missile strike on Monday afternoon.

The Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mikdad strongly condemned the Israeli air strike and considered it a violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

In this conversation, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has completely gotten into a frenzy due to the consecutive failures of this regime in Gaza and not achieving the ambitious goals it pursues. 

Amirabdollahian held the Israeli regime accountable for the terrorist attack and emphasized the need for a serious response by the international community to such terrorist actions. 219
